Students will explore a wide range of topics in an effort to expand their understanding and use of technology as it pertains to audio.
Topics will be selected from the following and may vary slightly from quarter to quarter: Fundamentals of Sound and Acoustics; History of Technology in Music; Fundamentals of Recording Audio; Using Digital Audio Workstations to Produce Sound and Music; Podcasting; and the Basics of Mixing, Amplifying and Manipulating Live Audio. Students will be actively involved in hands-on projects using any or all of the following software packages: Adobe's Audition, AVID's ProTools, Propellorheads' Reason, Ableton Live.
