Pet Peeves

There are many ways people can get on your nerves, but some things just make me so infuriated. It’s hard to think that something can make you so annoyed, but as the list of pet peeves continues to grow, it’s clearly possible. Many times, people do it just to make you upset, but others don’t even know they’re doing it.

#1: Working at a grocery store can be fun until customers make your life terrible.

Why don’t people check their eggs before they purchase them? When they don’t, there will be cracked and missing eggs. Then, the bagger has to grab new ones and put the broken one in damage. During this time, the checkout process is slowed down because the cashier has to scan and bag all the groceries until the bagger gets back. To add on to difficulties as a worker, I also despise when you are cleaning the belt on your register and someone will start to put groceries on it. The chemical spray isn’t wiped off and now all their groceries will be wet. Not only is it disrespectful, but you think they’d want dry groceries. It takes less than a minute to clean it off, but some people could just not care less.

#2: High school nightmares.

No one wants to walk through the halls seeing couples making out or touching each other. Wait until you're not in such a public area. That way, you can have privacy and people won’t have to be traumatized. Also, why do people feel the need to walk so slowly? When students are walking from class to class, they would like to be on time, not stuck behind someone moving at a snail's pace. It isn’t that difficult to walk and doesn’t take much athleticism either. Not only that, but people think someone wants to hear their trashy rap music blasting out of a speaker or their headphones. You can still listen to the playlist you spent a month making with the volume turned DOWN. Once you do that, everyone around you will be pleased as well.

#3: The people who complain about Every. Little. Thing.

Why do people complain, but never do nothing about it? All they do is whine about what isn’t going their way or who doesn’t like them back. If it was really that much of a problem, why not just say something. With that, another pet peeve is when people just do stuff like that for attention. Many people will go out of their way to help someone out, when really they just wanted someone to make them feel good about themselves. That isn’t always a bad thing because some people need it, but others just do it to have a reason to fuss. Just remember that everyone has lives full of work and stress. If they go out of their way to help you, at least make it important and not for the fun of it.

Anyone could continue writing about things that make me so furious, but these were some main concerns. Some people will learn from this article while others will just nod and agree. It isn’t hard to respect the people around you, especially when most of it is just common sense.
