What's it all about?

Thank you for checking out my Elementary Technology Page. I worked professionally in technology for many years and transitioned to teaching several years ago because I want to help students succeed. I believe every student should be challenged at their own level and be provided with every opportunity to succeed.

My interests are primarily focused around my family. We like to read, ski, play board games, swim and travel. The favorite pastime for my husband and 2 children is to find a pun that will make me laugh. Stella, our dog, is also a favorite source of entertainment.

In technology class, students learn how to use technology to enhance all of their learning and I also strongly encourage them to be good digital citizens. This includes knowing how to be safe, responsible, respectful and kind when they are online. The number one rule is that if something makes them feel uncomfortable, they should tell/ask an adult before proceeding. The number two rule is that they don't share private information when they are online.

Much of the student's work will be stored in their G-Suite Drive and in their Technology Google Classroom. Students can login from home by using any browser to go to Google.com. Once they click the sign in button, they should type in their school email for their username and then the password that they use to get on their Chromebooks at school. All students in K-5 will know their password. Their email address is FirstnameLastname@sau47.org. The username is not case sensitive, but the password must be all lower case.
