Getting to Know Ms. Madden

Education:

I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Keene State College. My majors were general special education, learning disabilities, and elementary education. I minored in Spanish. I received my Master’s Degree from Rivier College in learning disabilities. Then I became certified as a Specialist in the Assessment of Intellectual Functioning (SAIF).

I previously had been certified for mental retardation. I am Highly qualified teacher for English.

Teaching Experiences:

I was employed at HBMS for 17 years as a case manager in seventh grade. Additionally, I worked as a SAIF for the Manchester School District with preschoolers. Prior to that I worked in Litchfield both as a Learning Disabilities Specialist and as a Coordinator for Special Education.

Family:

I live with my daughter, Heather, who is twenty-four years old. We have two cats and two dogs.

Interests:

I love the beach. I love to sing and to dance. I consider myself to be a happy and optimistic person. I grew up playing golf as my family owned a golf course and both my dad and brother were professional golfers. I love being outside. I enjoy the water as well as amusement parks with roller coasters. Pink is my favorite color and I love sparkling, glittery things.
