Building Trades 11 will offer students an introduction to basic construction skills. Students will participate in both classroom and shop activities to gain a better understanding of construction safety, the use of hand & power tools, and the principles of construction. Students will gain hands-on experience in the shop.

Building Trades 12 will cover construction technology. The primary focus will be hands-on in the shop. Students will be exposed to the concepts and processes involved in building. These will include rough framing as well as interior and exterior finishes. They will also be given the opportunity to explore different trades associated with construction such as plumbing and electrical. (College credit may be available for this course. For more information, contact the CTE Office.) (This course satisfies a math-related course.)
