About Physical Education

Students should bring two pairs of sneakers and two pairs of socks to school on Physical Education days. The fields are often wet in the morning, and it can make for a long, uncomfortable day if students are left wearing wet sneakers or socks. Students should leave an extra pair of sneakers and socks at school. Students also need to bring a water bottle, especially on days when they are outside.

On spring and summer days, sunscreen and bug spray should always be applied before school to help prevent sunburn and bug bites. On snowy winter days, we often like to take advantage of the snow and go on a snowshoe hike or nature walk. Snow gear will be required in order to go outside, and we will notify students and parents if we are planning on going outside. Please see below for our recommendations on what to bring for each season.
