About Makerspace & Technology

The Makerspace & Technology program allows students in all grade levels to engage in activities within the STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Students develop and strengthen skills outlined in the SAU 16 K-5 Technology Curriculum and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards by brainstorming, researching, problem-solving, and creating technology-based projects. The term "maker" is used to emphasize that students actively and purposefully use various technologies, including practical/physical materials, to make something new or improved.
