"Lift Every Voice and Sing"
“Lift Every Voice and Sing” was first sung at a celebration for Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, and it quickly became popular in the African American community. Its lyrics talk about hope, strength, and the struggle for freedom, which are very important themes in Black history.Over the years, “Lift Every Voice and Sing” has been sung at many important events, like civil rights marches and church services. It reminds people of the fight for equality and the importance of unity. Today, it is celebrated for its message of resilience and hope, and it inspires many people to keep working for justice and a better future. In fact, it is sung yearly at the Super Bowl as part of the NFL's commitment to racial and social justice, honoring Black history and culture.
