We look forward to continuing to build upon the successful basketball programs at all levels – Freshmen, JV and Varsity.  It is important for you to understand that playing basketball here at Exeter High School is a privilege that takes pride and commitment. We want dedicated athletes who are focused on making the right decisions, teamwork, ongoing improvement and results.

PRIOR to Tryouts 

What you should be completing right now!

1. You are REQUIRED to have a physical on record at the Athletic Office. 

2. You are REQUIRED to be academically eligible. Pass 4 classes from the first quarter.

3.  You are REQUIRED be registered for EHS basketball, signup prior to TBD online at:

Please Note: You are not eligible to tryout if you have not completed 1, 2 and 3.  

Tryouts are important. You must be present. There are no guaranteed spots. You must earn them throughout the tryout process. 

All grades tryout all three days.

Players come to tryouts prepared with: 

Sneakers

Water Bottle

Dark/Light Reversible OR a Dark T-Shirt and a White T-Shirt.

Meet in hallway outside of gym. 

Monday, 12/1

Start Time: 6:00pm-8:00pm

Arrive 5:45pm and be ready to warm up at 6pm.

Tuesday, 12/2

Start Time: 6:00pm-8:00pm

Arrive 5:45pm and be ready to warm up at 6pm.

Wednesday, 12/3 - 5:15pm - See Below UPDATED during TRYOUT WEEK

Teams announced to players on 12/3.

Each player will receive a team color at tryouts on Tuesday, she will reference that color to know when to arrive and be picked up on Wednesday – see below.  All players plan to stay until the end of their group pick up time. Coaches will be in the gym running skills for players.

Parent pickup groups will start earlier and end earlier so parents have a time of when to drop off and arrive for pick up.  Please be patient if we are running a little late, we will try our best to finish groups on time for pick up.  Thank you!

5:15pm – 6:30pm – RED group

5:30pm – 7:00pm – ORANGE group

5:45pm – 7:00pm – GREEN group

6:15pm – 7:30pm – BLUE group

Players who are on the Varsity Roster, plan to stay until 7:45pm.  We will have a short Varsity Team meeting at 7:30pm.
