Auburn Village School Athletics Mission Statement:

Athletics is an integral part of a student's middle school experience. Participation in sports instills core qualities of pride, unity and good sportsmanship. Auburn Village School is dedicated to developing the athlete as a person while augmenting their skill sets. Being part of an AVS sports team will hopefully create lifelong memories.

Athletic Rule Clarifications:

A few questions were raised to the Athletic Department recently. Auburn Village School follows the rules and regulations as directed by the Tri County League. The latest Tri County Handbook is posted on our Athletic website page for reference. Any questions about rules have also been verified with the Tri County board.

Private School Student Participation – Any private school student that resides in Auburn is eligible to participate on an AVS sports team. The athlete cannot participate on a Private School team and an AVS team during the same season.

Multiple Sport Athletes – A student may only participate on one sport team per season.

Cross Country Rosters – Invitational meet rosters are submitted at varying times during the season. A team is invited to an invitational not an individual athlete. In order to accommodate team roster changes throughout the season, an AVS team member may use another AVS team member’s bib number. The AVS coach is responsible for verifying team member’s eligibility. No notification is required.

Cross Country State Meet – There is no maximum number of runners that can participate at the State Meet. The roster submitted is at the discretion of the coach. This year’s Division III state meet changed venue and format from last year.

Athletic forms can be found here.
