House Rules



By booking this listing, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions in addition to the house rules:

Arrival

Parking: You may park anywhere on Gomez or Sena St. There is usually a space directly in front of the front door. Please do not block any of the neighbor's driveways. 


Access: After you park, walk to the front door. The casita is equipped with a key lock box that is to the right of the front door. Please replace the key in the lockbox as there will be a set inside for you to use during your stay.

Wifi Name: 38691853

Password: 213 862 4214 (no spaces)


You will have to let us know if the router needs to be reset. We must do it remotely

Television

The TV is equipped with Xfinity. Use the Xfinity remote to turn on the TV and adjust the Volume, as well as choose your channel.

Trash and Recycling

There is a large green trash bin located outside the casita, to the right of the building, behind a wooden gate. A large blue recycling bin is next to the trash.

The recycling bin takes all recyclables except glass. Glass can go in the green trash bin. Please DO NOT USE the neighbors bins.

Both trash and recycling are picked up on Tuesday mornings.

Fire Safety

There are smoke/CO detectors in all bedrooms and common areas. The fire extinguisher is located in the hallway closet as well as in the kitchen cabinet under the sink.

Fireplace

The fireplace is a gas fireplace. Do not try to open it up or burn wood inside. Simply press the on button on the fireplace remote to turn it on. The indoor fireplace will be turned off from May15-Oct 15. 

Other Safety Items

Breaker/ Fuse Box

If you should need to access the fuse box, it is located in the hallway, next to the bedroom doorway

Climate Control- Heat and A/C

Heat: The casita has radiant heating throughout the house. You use the thermostat attached to the wall in the hallway to turn it on and adjust the temperature

Cooling: The house is equipped with Mini Split A/C. The remote control for the A/C is mounted on the wall in the hallway. Just use the remote to turn on the mini split, set the mode to 'Cool' and set your desired temperature.

Since Santa Fe is a high desert climate many of our guests (along with us!) opt to leave the windows open-- especially at night when the temperature drops deliciously. Whichever option you choose: please do not run the A.C./Heat with the windows open.

BBQ Grill

The outdoor charcoal grill can be used all year. Please do not burn wood or other foreign materials, and never leave it unattended.


Landscaping

The landscaper comes the 4th Monday of the month to clean up around the patios, driveway, and courtyard areas.

Ceiling Fan

The ceiling fan/s and light are controlled with the remote. If you flip the light switch and the light does not come on, simply press the light button on the remote (or vice versa).
The fan can be turned on and off, as well as adjusting the speed, with the remote. If the fan is not turning on, try flipping the light switch the other direction.

Late Night Fun


Spas

Ten Thousand waves is a world class Japanese style spa, less than twenty minutes from your residence! Enjoy the public baths or rent a private tub. Massages and various other treatments are available. Their restaurant, Izanami, is fabulous and serves izakaya small plates for sharing.

Ojo Caliente is about an hour or so north and boasts one of the oldest hot spring spas in the country. Historic, peaceful, and beautiful, this full-service spa is a must-see for folks interested in a day of pampering.


Horseback Riding

Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu offers trail rides through some of Northern New Mexico’s most scenic panoramas. The guides are well versed in the history of the property, from the early outlaws who settled there, to Georgia O’Keeffe’s legacy, not to mention prehistoric history that came before, and movie trivia that followed after (many movies have been filmed at Ghost Ranch). No experience necessary! The ranch is about an hour and fifteen minutes North.


The Santa Fe Ski Basin is about thirty minutes away. You can rent equipment at Alpine Sports in town or wait until you get to the mountain.


For some out of town fun, Taos is a beautiful hour and a half drive North West, and Albuquerque is about 45 minutes South. Both offer tastes of New Mexico not found anywhere else!

Getting Around

Once in town, getting around is easy. Downtown Santa Fe and the surrounding historic districts are compact and most conveniently traveled on foot. It’s no wonder Santa Fe was voted one of America’s Top Rated Walking Cities.


The Santa Fe Pickup Shuttle
Free shuttle service that starts and ends in front of the former New Mexico Film Museum (the Jean Cocteau Cinema) on Montezuma Avenue and runs counter-clockwise with various stops around downtown.


Bus Service
Santa Fe has public transportation called Santa Fe Trails Bus Service.


Ride-Sharing Service
Uber & Lyft rides can easily be arranged in Santa Fe using their apps.


Downtown Parking
Metered parking spots in downtown Santa Fe cost $2.00 an hour and are in operation from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, excluding major holidays.


Bikeways and Trails
Bicycle paths and trails for all levels of riders are located in and around the city.
