By booking this listing, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions in addition to the house rules:


Closson Parking

Arrival

Parking- Your parking space is located off of Closson St, marked with a ’A’. Please do not park in any of the neighboring spaces. There is room for 2 regular sized vehicles if you park in tandem.



Access- After you park, head to the front of the building. Yours is the fourth door down, through the small wooden gate marked ’A’. Please replace the key in the lockbox as there will be a set inside for you to use during your stay.

The internet modem/router is to the left of the sofa.

Television

The TV is a smart TV. Turn on the TV with the power button on the Samsung remote. From there press the ’home’ button. You can then use your Netflix or Amazon Prime account to stream movies. Stream live TV by selecting ’Samsung TV Plus’ as your source.

Trash and Recycling

There is a large green trash bin located outside the casita by the parking area. Large blue recycling bins are next to the trash.

Both trash and recycling are picked up on Tuesday mornings. 

Fire Safety

The fire extinguisher is located in the kitchen, to the left of the bathroom door. 

Breaker/ Fuse Box

If you should need to access the fuse box, it is located in the kitchen, behind the metal Sun sculpture. 

Climate Control- Heat and A/C

Mini Splits: Mini Splits are used for heating and cooling, A/C. There are 2, one in the kitchen, and one in the living room. Both have their own remote. Simply point the remote at the wall unit and press power, select the correct mode "cool" or "heat", then select your desired temperature.

Electric Fireplace: There is also an electric fireplace for ambiance. You can turn on the flames manually with the switch on the front, as well as turn on the heat setting.

Keeping Cool: The key to making use of the adobe walls and keeping the house cool in the warmer months is to open the windows at night, then close the windows and blinds in the morning to keep in the cool air.

Ceiling Fans

The ceiling fan/s and light are controlled with the remote. If you flip the light switch and the light does not come on, simply press the light button on the remote (or vice versa). You can adjust the brightness of the light by holding down the 'light' button.

The fan can be turned on and off, as well as adjusting the speed, with the remote. If the fan is not turning on, try flipping the light switch the other direction.

Sofa Bed

There are spare pillows and linens for the sofa bed inside the coffee table / trunk. If you use the extra linens for any air mattresses/sofa beds, etc., and have not paid the ‘additional guest’ fee, there will be a charge of $25 per linen set.

Outdoor Firepit

The outdoor fire pit can be used all year. Please be sure to turn the gas tank off after you are done for the evening, do not burn wood or other foreign materials, and never leave it unattended. Please let us know if you use the last of the propane.


The cushions for the outdoor furniture can be found in the storage bin in the front courtyard.

BBQ Grill

The outdoor charcoal grill can be used all year. Please do not burn wood or other foreign materials, and never leave it unattended.


Landscaping

The landscaper comes on Mondays to clean the parking area, sidewalk, and patio/ courtyard areas. He will not work in the back patio during your stay.

Late Night Fun


Spas

Ten Thousand waves is a world class Japanese style spa, less than twenty minutes from your residence! Enjoy the public baths or rent a private tub. Massages and various other treatments are available. Their restaurant, Izanami, is fabulous and serves izakaya small plates for sharing.

Ojo Caliente is about an hour or so north and boasts one of the oldest hot spring spas in the country. Historic, peaceful, and beautiful, this full-service spa is a must-see for folks interested in a day of pampering.


Horseback Riding

Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu offers trail rides through some of Northern New Mexico’s most scenic panoramas. The guides are well versed in the history of the property, from the early outlaws who settled there, to Georgia O’Keeffe’s legacy, not to mention prehistoric history that came before, and movie trivia that followed after (many movies have been filmed at Ghost Ranch). No experience necessary! The ranch is about an hour and fifteen minutes North.


The Santa Fe Ski Basin is about thirty minutes away. You can rent equipment at Alpine Sports in town or wait until you get to the mountain.


For some out of town fun, Taos is a beautiful hour and a half drive North West, and Albuquerque is about 45 minutes South. Both offer tastes of New Mexico not found anywhere else!

Getting Around

Once in town, getting around is easy. Downtown Santa Fe and the surrounding historic districts are compact and most conveniently traveled on foot. It’s no wonder Santa Fe was voted one of America’s Top Rated Walking Cities.


The Santa Fe Pickup Shuttle
Free shuttle service that starts and ends in front of the former New Mexico Film Museum (the Jean Cocteau Cinema) on Montezuma Avenue and runs counter-clockwise with various stops around downtown.


Bus Service
Santa Fe has public transportation called Santa Fe Trails Bus Service.


Ride-Sharing Service
Uber & Lyft rides can easily be arranged in Santa Fe using their apps.


Downtown Parking
Metered parking spots in downtown Santa Fe cost $2.00 an hour and are in operation from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, excluding major holidays.


Bikeways and Trails
Bicycle paths and trails for all levels of riders are located in and around the city.
