Music

My name is Mrs. Laurente. It sounds like lore- ren- tay. I am thrilled to join the Twin Lakes community! I will be teaching music every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to students from kindergarten through sixth grade.

This will be my 6th year teaching, after graduating with my degree in Music Education from the University of the Pacific. I have studied the violin for over 15 years, and also play other instruments. I have always wanted to be a teacher, and it is so neat that I can combine my love of teaching and my love of music into a career. This year, I am looking forward to singing and performing with the Schola Cantorum choir in Sacramento.

What can you expect from music class?

Singing - we will learn to sing songs and create songs

Movement - we will learn to move to music and how people in different parts of the world move to music

Listening - we will listen to different voices and instruments

Stories - we will listen to musical stories and add music to stories
