Sociology and Modern World History Classes

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. This is both an exciting and a challenging time, and I'm glad we are in this together!

Both, World History and Sociology classes will be an exploration of human society. The history classes will primarily focus on monumental events that ultimately shaped our current political and geographic world. The sociology class will focus on the main patterns that could be discovered in our society. We will look for these patterns on macro and micro level.

I am here to help. If you have any questions at all, no matter how big or small, please communicate with me. The key to being successful in this virtual environment is to be an active participant and to be a clear communicator. I will do my very best to live up to those two guidelines, and I hope that you will do the same.

See you in the virtual world,

Mr. Pav

ATTENTION STUDENTS & PARENTS

Please note the Schedule for Monday's are for teacher office hours for student support. Classes are held Tuesday-Friday in block periods. ATTENDANCE will be taken and the same rules apply as if we were in class in-person.

CAMERA & MIC POLICY

Cameras on your device should be on and mics muted (unless otherwise instructed) for the first part of the class, no exceptions. Once the attendance is taken, and while I am lecturing or explaining class curriculum I will ask you to turn off the cameras in order to speed up the connection. Please understand that sometimes we will experience delay or slowed wifi speed if all of you are constantly keeping your cameras on.
