SDCOE MINECRAFT BUILD CHALLENGE

The San Diego County Office of Education is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a Fall esports Tournament on December 4, 2021. See information below.

Minecraft Build Challenge

The San Diego County Office of Education is proud to announce we are hosting our second virtual esports tournament competing with other school clubs across San Diego County who are playing Minecraft. The Build Challenge will be released the day of the event, but start thinking about Climate. This tournament is exclusive to clubs or teams who are school sanctioned during the 2021-22 academic year. Your club teacher will be able to opt in to the tournament, receive additional information to support your team, and stay updated on pertinent details regarding the tournament from SDCOE. Families, educators and friends are virtually welcome to view.

Details:

Date: Saturday, December 4, 2021

Times:

Elementary School: 10 am to 12 noon

Middle School: 10:30 am to 12:30 pm

High School: 11 am to 1 pm

Location: Virtual

Open and free to all students in San Diego County.

Registration Deadline: December 1, 2021

Tournament Rules:

1. Students must have a Minecraft account

2. Four players per team.

3. Mods are not permitted.

4. Before the tournament students will need to register their world.

5. Students must complete the design challenge within time specified, and must stop working when time is called.

6. A rubric will be provided the day of the event.

7. Good conduct, behavior and fair competition is expected from all students.

CHS COUNSELING GOOGLE CLASSROOMS

The CHS Counseling Staff has created grade level Google Classrooms to provide students with resources and supports during Online Learning. Although students were automatically enrolled in these classrooms based on their grade level, please have your child check their Google Classroom suite to be sure they are able to access this valuable resource.
