Tips for Management

Distributing devices

  1. Assign each student a specific numbered device to use all year. Alphabetical order or number order is an easy way to keep track. Keep a list posted inside the cart.

  2. Have an adult (or a very trusted & trained student) unplug the devices to help decrease breakage on the charging cables.

  3. Teach students a logical pathway to pick up devices from the cart so they are not bumping into one another and have enough room to get in and out of the cart.

  4. To help with time, consider teaching students to leave their chromebook out and closed on their desk, and not touch them, when you are not using them.

Putting Devices Away

  1. Call students in small groups to put devices back into the cart based on their device and slot #.

  2. Have an adult (or a very trusted & trained student) plug in all the devices after they are all back in the cart.

  3. Make sure all devices are in the cart, plugged in, and accounted for before students leave the room.

  4. Ensure cart is locked.

- Please do not give out the lock code to anyone -
