The Department of Online Learning provides opportunities to San Diego Unified middle and high schools that enroll students in grades 7-12. Additionally, high school students have the opportunity to recover credits and graduate with the skills necessary to succeed in all post-secondary endeavors.

There are two options available for online learning
Independent Study: fully online, self-paced and independent
Dual Enrollment: online courses offered at the school site in a learning lab

Online Learning may be an option for students who are
seeking virtual option for all of their course work (referred to as "independent study")
attend their neighborhood school site, but would like/need access to some online course options (referred to as "dual enrollment")
dual enrollment can be used for credit recovery or first time credit

Online learning is one option available for students to earn graduation credits, recover credits, accelerate, or access multiple course offerings that may not be offered at their school site.
School Sites
School Sites
Online learning may be a great option for self-motivated students in grades 6-12 who are looking for a different educational environment. Good time management and visual/auditory strengths are recommended but we welcome all learners.
