COVID INFORMATION
Effective Monday, August 15, masks are strongly recommended but no longer required for district employees, students and visitors.
We do not anticipate districtwide masking as we enter the new school year.
We will not require districtwide masking if San Diego County enters the high tier in the CDC COVID-19 community level. Instead, we will utilize our school site metrics and county data to determine whether masking is needed at each school.
During the school year, the district will follow a focused approach to require indoor masking at individual school sites, which will consist of the following:
If within the past 14 days, there are at least three outbreaks that have occurred in the school, AND more than 5% of the school population (students and staff) is infected. In such a case as above, masking will be required for two weeks at the school.
Please review the letter being sent to all staff and families today, Monday, August 15. The letter outlines the established COVID-19 mitigation strategies and safety protocols for the 2022-23 school year.
