Site Governance Team at Ibarra:
Context:
The Site Governance Team (SGT) is the democratically elected body that engages in collaborative decision making to achieve common goals for the Ibarra school community. SGT facilitates discussions, encourage diverse viewpoints, and promotes teamwork to foster innovation and problem-solving.
Purpose:
Emphasize open communication, active listening, and mutual respect among participants
Work together to ensure all voices are heard in the planning and implementation process of our needs and assets assessment
Transparency with community schools funding and spending on projects
Our Journey with Collaborative Leadership:
Ibarra held nominations for different groups including certificated staff, classified staff, and parents to ensure all educational partners voices are heard. Ballots were sent to each group to vote for their representatives in August 2024
SGT currently consists of 6 certificated staff, 2 classified staff, 3 parents, and 1 administrator
