San Diego Unified School District’s (SDUSD) Extended Learning Opportunities Department administers the PrimeTime Extended Day Program (PrimeTime) to elementary and middle school students. PrimeTime is free to all participating families and operates before and/or after school programs every regular school day. Due to COVID-19 pandemic the program schedule may be modified for the 2021-22 school year. Students are to attend the program every day for the full range of hours offered. Parents/guardians can feel comfortable knowing their child(ren) is receiving academic support, and also interacting with peers in a physically and emotionally safe environment. The PrimeTime team is a collaboration among San Diego Unified School District Extended Learning Opportunities staff, PrimeTime Partner organizations, and other SDUSD departments, programs and individuals.
Your child(ren) must be enrolled during the regular school day at the school to which you are applying for PrimeTime, this also applies to families with Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten (K) children. Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten Eligibility: TK students born between September 2, 2016 and December 2, 2016 and K students born on or before September 1, 2016.
All families with children in elementary, middle, or K-8 schools (including transitional kindergarten) interested in participating in PrimeTime during the 2021-22 school year are required to submit an online application. This includes children currently participating in PrimeTime and children on the wait list.

SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE PARTICIPATION IN PRIMETIME
It is anticipated that the demand for PrimeTime services will exceed the program capacity at most schools; therefore, it is extremely important that the application be completed and submitted by the initial application timeline. Applicants are accepted into the program based on the rating system listed on the following page, up to the capacity for each school's program.
INITIAL APPLICATION TIMELINE MARCH 1, 2021 - APRIL 9, 2021

NOTIFICATION OF APPLICATION STATUS
Parents/guardians who complete and submit the application within the initial application timeline will be notified via email of the status of their application no later than Friday, June 18, 2021. The email will notify families of whether their child(ren) has been accepted to participate, placed on a wait list, or is not eligible for the before and/or after school PrimeTime Program.
APPLICATION RATING SYSTEM
Completed applications that are submitted by the deadline during the initial application timeline will be reviewed for the initial enrollment period. Children will be accepted for participation based on the application rating system detailed below, up to the capacity for each school's program. Once PrimeTime has reached its capacity, children not accepted for participation will be placed on a wait list, in the same order of priority, and will be accepted as space becomes available.
Parents/guardians may choose to have their child attend either the before school and/or after school programs, if applicable. Choosing only the before school or after school program will not affect the rating of the application.
Each application will be prioritized using the following rating system:
Child participating in PrimeTime during the 2020-21
school year OR child on the PrimeTime waitlist as of 1 Point
February 26, 2021.

In cases where a determination must be made between two or more applications with the same points, selection for acceptance will be based on date and time of online submission of the completed applications. For priority enrollment, attendance policy below will be strictly adhered to.
APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED AFTER APRIL 9, 2021
Applications are accepted throughout the school year. Applications submitted after April 9, 2021, will be considered in priority order, as space becomes available, according to the rating system listed above.
Once notified of acceptance, the 2021-22 PrimeTime Student Participation Forms are required to be completed before your child can begin participating in the program. The 2021-22 Student Participation Forms will be available online or through the organization providing services at your child's school. Students with incomplete 2021-22 Student Participation Forms may be disenrolled from PrimeTime.
In accordance with the California Education Code Section 8483(a) (1) that provides funding for PrimeTime, students are expected to participate in the program every day.
