I love sun and Greek mythology so my favorite god is Helios who represents sun,
so i went searching 3 axis -an open source library for DXF. files-,
and i found a necklace pendant that holds face of Helios so I am making myself a necklace using this pendant.
as it will be our martial to fabricate on.
to prepare DXF. file to be laser cut.
1- open laser works
2- import your desgin \ your downloaded file.
3-assgin colors for Cut and scan by selecting lines, i used green for scanning parts and black for cutting.

4- set the power and speed for each mode(cut and scan) you need:
power : 30 min 30 max | speed : 65 with green color
power : 30 min 30 max | speed : 330 with green color
ps. you should put the scan mode before cut mode because the machine dependes on mode arrangements
you can use up button to bring scan up
6- save as your assignment with rld extention
NOW you can reach the nearest Fab Lab to fabricate:💫
I reached Fab Lab Egypt and using the help of thier precious digital fabricators I did the fabrications. 🌟
1. I already had my rdl. file on a USB.
2.i copy\pasted it to the PC that the laser cutter connected to.
3. downloaded the file to the laser cutter.
4. I put my plywood sheet on the laser cutter's bed.
5. Hit start.
6. got my final product after like 2 minutes

I love ancient sgins in general, and one of my favorite signs was always a pentagram as it was represented in Greek mythology and in gothic architecture, pulse i love candles so it was so lovely to find a candle holder that use an ancient symbol.
so i went searching Thingiverse -an open source library for STL. files-,
for 3D printing
for fabricating 3d parts
to prepare STL. file to be 3D printed.
1- open laser UltimakerCura
2- open your file by clicking file then open file
3- start adjusting your parameters:
1- resultion: 0.2mm
2- Infill:
I adjusted infill to 10% .
with gyroid pattern - just because i like it-.
3- support:
no supports because there is no over hanging .
I changed noting in scaling BTW.
3- finally press slice and let the magic happen✨
Now you can preview every layer in preview tap🐝
pulse you will get your machine time and filament grams here in the side :
4-finally save to disk with your file name, you can add time and grams to make it easier while recording machining time and usage.⭐
NOW you can reach the nearest Fab Lab to fabricate:💫

2.i copy\pasted it to the SD card that i will insert in the 3d printer.
3. put the SD card in the 3d printer.
4. scroll on the 3d printer panel then choose print from SD card
5. Choose your file.
6. the printer will start heating the bed and the nozzle to the right temperatures
-which is 60 for bed and 215 for nozzle-
7. AND PAM in like 60 minutes I got my product✨
It wasn't an actual challenge but i wanted the
surface of the pendant to be fully clean so
🌟Mai the digital fabricator 🌟 advised me to mask the ply wood using tape
