Lamiaa Nail believes that everyone deserves a chance of quality learning. Thus, she combined her passion for engineering, education, and research, to help the young generation of makers and creators to realize their potential and dreams through STEM education and education technology. Lamiaa holds the position of Education Manager at San3a Tech, where she leads the design and development of learning experiences that are hopefully meaningful and impactful for our makers-to-be.
Lamiaa is a Co-founder and an Executive Committee Member at the Arab Science Week (ASW), and formerly, she was a Co-founder and School Program Manager at the Egyptian Science Week (ESW). Additionally, Lamiaa held the position of Science Communication Specialist at the Department of Physics at the American University in Cairo (AUC). Prior to working at AUC, Lamiaa has been the Education Team Leader of Tahrir Academy (http://en.tahriracademy.net/), an online learning platform that created mind-stimulating learning experiences for more than 150,000 learners.
Lamiaa has also worked as a Research & Development Engineer in the engineering industry, before shifting into maker education and education technology. Lamiaa is an alumna of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), an exchange program led by the U.S. Department of State, for female leader in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Lamiaa holds a master’s degree in International and Comparative Education from AUC and a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University.
