On a hot spring day, enjoying a scoop of ice cream is the perfect way to put a smile on a customers face. At The Whole Scoop, having flavors that complement the seasons is essential in providing the perfect ice cream experience. This spring, Mango, Peach and Creamsicle will be making their seasonal reappearance at The Whole Scoop.
The Whole Scoop serves both Bluebell Ice Cream and Greenwood Ice Cream products. These companies are known for their outstanding quality frozen desserts. Mango is an Italian-Ice style ice cream flavor, which is suitable for customers who favor dairy-free and gluten-free options. Peach and Creamsicle are both traditional style ice cream flavors, so customers who value dairy based products will enjoy these flavors.
The Whole Scoop served up more than just ice cream at their 10-year anniversary event on March 13th. The anniversary party was filled with loads of fun specials and events. “We have had such an amazing time taking care of our Hoover community, and it is incredible to see the community return the love by taking such good care of us too. Our concept has been realized: The Whole Scoop is a neighborhood ice cream shop. When you walk in the store, hundreds of photos line our walls of the families that enjoy our ice cream and helped to make our vision a reality,” said David Cohen, Owner of The Whole Scoop.
Cohen’s ice cream speaks for itself and is typically described as “the star of the show.” This family owned and operated shop is a pinnacle part of the Hoover public, and the anniversary event was an excellent opportunity to celebrate all the memories made by countless families that have walked through the doors since 2011.
Something sweet happened on Samford University’s campus! Last week, the Whole Scoop Ice Cream Shop visited campus to ring in the spirit of spring. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Owner David Cohen brought his ice cream cart to the hub of Samford’s student life, Ben Brown Plaza.
Students from across campus gathered to indulge in this Hoover delight, sampling from six different flavors of ice cream. Flavors included Mint Cookies and Cream, Krazy Kookie Dough, Salted Caramel, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Cookies and Cream and Cherry Italian Ice.
With every cup of ice cream purchased, students were entered into a raffle to win gift certificates for free milkshakes. Five lucky students were chosen: Ansley Allen, Bailey Jones, Aubrie Strange, Jack Spangler and Kristina Groux!
In honor of the 10 year anniversary of the Whole Scoop, this event raised awareness of the Hoover shop all the way out in Homewood. For the month of March, a Samford Public Relations team has been conducting a social media campaign for the Whole Scoop and wanted to bring the delicious treat to their peers.
The event was extremely successful, netting nearly $300 in sales while raising awareness of the family values and traditions associated with the Whole Scoop.
