Our History & Purpose

Sea Air & Land Travel originated in North Hoffman Estates and has proudly served the travel needs of Hoffman Estates residents since 1987. What began as a local agency has grown into a trusted, award-winning travel company with a long-standing reputation for excellence and personalized service.

Over the years, S.A.L. Travel has earned numerous high-honor awards from industry leaders including Apple Vacations, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, American Airlines, and many more—recognition that reflects our commitment to expertise, integrity, and exceptional client care. Since opening in 1987, the agency expanded to Palatine and served many neighboring communities. Today, Sea Air & Land Travel operates as a home-based office in Barrington, Illinois, offering professional travel consultations by appointment only to ensure every client receives our full attention.

Our team of experienced travel consultants brings decades of combined knowledge and firsthand travel experience from destinations around the world. This allows us to provide our clients with trusted insight, expert planning, and personalized recommendations tailored to their unique travel goals.

Sally’s passion for travel began early, launching her career as a travel agent while still in high school in Des Plaines, Illinois. After starting her family, she proudly opened Sea Air & Land Travel in 1987, turning her lifelong love of exploration into a trusted agency that has helped generations of travelers see the world. With decades of firsthand experience and travels spanning the globe, Sally has built strong, lasting relationships throughout the travel industry and brings exceptional knowledge, insight, and personal care to every itinerary she designs. When she’s not crafting dream vacations for her clients, Sally enjoys spoiling her family with adventures and creating travel memories of her own.

Bree officially joined S.A.L. Travel in 2025, but travel has always been part of her story. Growing up alongside the agency and traveling with her mom, the world of travel was a constant presence in her life. Now, with adult children of her own, Bree is excited to step into the family business, learn from Sally’s decades of experience, and help carry the agency into the future. Her passion, fresh perspective, and dedication ensure S.A.L. Travel will continue to thrive for years to come as Sally looks toward a well-earned retirement.
