At Saltchuck Construction, we pride ourselves on embodying the spirit of our environment. Our namesake, "Saltchuck", literally means "saltwater" in Chinook Jargon. Chinook Jargon itself, a pidgin language bridging Chinook, English & French during the expansion of trade throughout the 19th century in the Pacific Northwest, was a symbol of the cultural blending that has become a defining characteristic of the PNW. With our connection to & respect for the Puget Sound, we are committed to preserving its natural beauty and honoring its people through responsible construction practices.
