Ms. DosSantos

Ms. Laura DosSantos

Welcome!  ¡Bienvenidos!

Ms. Laura DosSantos has been teaching at Salisbury High School since 2008.  She has taught and may teach any combination of Spanish I, Spanish II, Spanish III, Spanish V, Environmental Science, and Biology.  She, too, has served as the advisor to our No Place For Hate group from 2011 until 2022. As of 2022, she is organizing a Spanish Club as SHS to foster appreciation for language and culture beyond curricula.  She is a graduate of Salisbury High School and considers herself fortunate to be back in the community.  Ms. DosSantos graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, and Wilkes University where she obtained her Masters in Education.  She continues to immerse herself in professional development, often focusing on educational technology as she possesses a certificate in online teaching.  She, too, was a Keystone Technology Innovator 2015, and Lead Learner 2017.

Ms. DosSantos' educational philosophy is rooted in her belief that every student can learn if given the opportunity to connect subject matter to their interests.  She believes that success can not solely be measured by formal evaluations, but also by knowledge put to good use.  A goal of hers is to help her students understand ways they do and can positively contribute to their communities.
