Ready to Apply?

As part of the application you will be asked to provide a list of your academic and personal achievements including:

• Participation in any of Delta Sigma Theta's youth programs (Delta GEMS, EMODI, Kiddie Cotillion, Delta Academy, Jabberwock) 

• List of high school academic honors and awards 

• List of leadership opportunities while in high school

• List of school related extracurricular activities in high school

• List of non-school related volunteer activities in the community 

• List of hobbies and interests outside of school

Please ensure you have the following items to include with your application:

• Signed and dated media release and photography form

• Faculty recommendation letter

• Official academic transcript 

• Copy of ACT scores

• Headshot

• Personal essay

Application Considerations

• The scholarship application is an online form. 

• For the best experience, sign in with your Google Account.  If you’re signed in with your Google Account, your application automatically saves your progress as a draft for up to 30 days, allowing you to return and finish later.

• Otherwise, you will need to start over if you are not able to complete your application in one sitting. Please allow 20 - 30 minutes to complete your application.
