Pride Month is celebrated every June in honor of the Stonewall Uprising of 1969.

Stonewall Book Awards: Mike Morgan and Larry Romans Children's & Young Adult Literature Award
This award is presented by the American Library Association every year, and it honors books that have exceptional merit relating to the LGBTQIA+ experience
The Rainbow Book List
The Rainbow Book List is put together by the Rainbow Round Table (a subcommittee in the American Library Association). They curate the Rainbow Book List every year to recognize quality stories representing LGBTQIA+ youth experiences.

Ms. Voigt has put together a list of many of the books in the SMS Media Center with characters on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. Book checkout in the Media Center ends June 3rd, but these books are also available at the public library.

The Trevor Project
The Trevor Project, a nonprofit started in 1998, has put together a huge list of resources, information, and guides aimed at LGBTQIA+ youth. Their Pride Page has tons of resources and information, and they also offer a text and call line for youth in crisis.
