The Collaborative Project is a cooperative venture sponsored and supported by Salem State University. The collaborative consists of over 50 school systems and private and parochial schools on the North Shore. The goal of this alliance of member schools and school districts with a student population of over 62,000 is to support the needs of teachers as they work to improve student learning in all content areas and grade levels.

Since the beginning in 1983, the Collaborative Project has produced a variety of high quality events including all-day courses, conferences, after-school workshops, the annual Women in Science and Engineering Conference (W.I.S.E.) for girls in grades 6-8,Practice AP Exams, and local curriculum development sessions. We hold to extremely high standards in selecting workshop presenters. Our presenters are screened the Collaborative Project staff to get the best possible talent to address the needs of our teachers.
