Want to help your child at home? Here are a few helpful sites to do so:
- IXL.com has math skills, language arts skills, science and social studies of all grade levels for your child to practice any time!
- Prodigy is a math game that uses video game-like characters and visuals to help keep your child engaged in math while practicing much needed Common Core Standard skills!
- CommonLit is a great resource for literary support that aligns with the MCAS. The website helps students become more comfortable with reading texts online (which they must do for MCAS). They can look up the definition of words, translate words or phrases into Spanish, highlight key information, have the text read aloud to them and answer key questions about the text.
- Quizlet is a great resource for creating and reviewing flashcards for vocabulary and/or content.
I highly encourage family and school communication to ensure that your child's needs are being met and we are supporting them in any way we can. Please feel free to email or call me with any questions, comments or concerns you may have.
