Coach Kyle Jones

2020-2021 Season:
After a shortened season in 2019-20, Coach Jones and the rejuvenated Chiefs claimed their first Champion title at the Alvarado Tournament and Received Runner-up in District 3-4A.

2019-2020 Season:
Coming off from a successful 18-19 year, Coach Jones and the Chiefs held the Champion title in District 4-4A, until UIL canceled the rest of the season due to Covid. Due to the cancelation, the Chiefs became Co-Champions.

2018-2019 Season:
After a rebuilding year, Coach Jones led the Chiefs to their first ever appearance in the Regional Quarterfinal round. The team won the title as District, Bi-District and Area Champions in District 4-4A. Chiefs have not won a District title since 2014.

2017-2018 Season:
In his first year as head coach of the Chiefs, Coach Jones guided his 4A sized team in a 5A district to 2-18 for the season. The record did not reflect how much the Chiefs learned. Starting the school year with less than 10 players and only a handful with experience in soccer, the Chiefs recruited friends from the classroom to play. The team quickly picked up basic skills and tactics and learned to work together. The Chiefs ended the year as a successful, tough team that other teams knew to look out for.

Bio:
A highly successful player and coach with collegiate, high school, and elite club soccer experience, we are excited to have Coach Jones lead the Lake View Men's Soccer Program. He lettered four years at Howard Payne University and served as a student assistant coach for the HPU men.

Coach Jones has a reputation of developing players and teams of all ages through skills and tactics. He successfully coached; Dallas Texans and FC Dallas club teams, and assisted at Odessa High and San Angelo Central.

Coaching Diplomas include: Advanced National Diploma (Equivalent to USSF B), National GK Diploma, USSF National D, and Director of Coaching Diploma.

Coach Jones is married to Melinda Jones. They have a five year old son.
