Teaching is in my blood, but my decision to enter the classroom was ultimately inspired by the profound impact of the educators who raised me and taught me. Growing up in a family of educators and attending the same schools my father and grandfather graduated from, I originally thought I would chart a different path as an engineer or architect. Everything shifted my senior year when I realized the true foundation I wanted to build wasn't made of steel or mortar—it was built on relationships.
Growing up, I experienced firsthand what true dedication looks like. My teachers didn't just know my name in the classroom; they recognized me at local games, the grocery store, and around our community, always making me feel seen, welcomed, and valued. At home, I watched my father—an educator and coach—connect with students in a way that truly transformed lives. He created a space where students felt safe, heard, and supported, no matter what they were carrying outside his door.
That is the legacy I strive to continue every day. My 'Why' is to create a welcoming, safe, and engaging space where the outside world's pressures stop at my door. I come to work every day committed to being the best part of a student’s day, week, or year. Beyond delivering great instruction, my ultimate goal is to inspire my students, nurture their curiosity, and help them discover their own 'Why' in life."
