BiblioTech is an all-digital library that includes 3 physical locations in San Antonio- East, West, and Central (downtown). This video outlines some online resources, explains registration process and also provides some valuable information on some of their more popular resources.

CIS-SA (Communities in Schools San Antonio)

Space Club is typically run as a year-long, weekly after-school program. The fall semester focuses on team building and the introduction of the engineering design process.

The following free materials support distance learning:

  • Weekly At-Home STEM Video: A weekly engineering design challenge video for students and their families. CIS-SA STEM team members, aerospace and mechanical engineers, lead students through building challenges using household items to encourage STEM learning.

  • STEM Take-Home Activity Chart (PreK – 12): Available in English or Spanish versions of six weeks of daily enrichment activities including online and offline versions for PreK – 12th grades.


Port SA

Port SA offers an extensive free learn at home library. It’s an opportunity to broaden our horizons through online learning--from activities for kids to professional development for adults who want to learn new tech skills as part of their careers. These experiences are offered at no cost and provided by leading education and industry partners. These resources are updated weekly.

San Antonio River Authority

Scobee to Go pamphlets and Planetarium live lectures are available.

Scobee is working with the national Challenger office to provide virtual missions and currently have a number of Sky Tonight planetarium presentations and an at-home experiment called “Soil Sleuths.

Fall 2020 focus is creating more videos that link to the badge activities on the YouTube Channel. Teachers can visit the FutureReadySA.org web site and find 11 space themed badge opportunities at no cost. Search for “Scobee” in the Explore section to find Scobee badges and content from other organizations with a broader search such as “space”. Each Scobee badge is designed with a choice of activities designed for students to complete at home with simple materials they might have around the house. These are robust activities that include our STEAM focus.
