Students may bring snacks to school to eat during either recess. They are not allowed to share snacks with others. Students also have the option of saving a snack from the breakfast share table or purchasing a snack at lunch.
You may send birthday treats to school with your child to celebrate his or her birthday. Birthday treats will be eaten at the end of the day around 2:45. Please contact your child's homeroom teacher to find out how many students are in the class and if there are any known allergies. All treats must be store-bought and should not contain nuts. Healthy birthday treats are encouraged.
Birthday party invitations may be sent to school with your child and will be passed out to each student. Invitations can only be handed out if there is one for each student in your child's homeroom.
Students should wear a blue, green, white, or black uniform polo or a School Spirit shirt every day. They should wear black or khaki pants, skirts, or shorts. On Fridays, students are allowed to wear jeans and a college T-shirt. The first Friday of each month is a free dress day. Students are also encouraged to have one ALA-embroidered polo to wear on field trip days. Click here for a more detailed list of uniform information and free dress dates.
We are available to meet before or after school upon request. If you would like to schedule a conference, please contact your child's homeroom teacher.
