This will be my last update of the year. It is hard to believe that the year is almost over. It has been a real pleasure teaching your children this year and I hope they enjoyed 3rd grade as much as I enjoyed having them in my homeroom. Thank you very much for those who participated in the Read-a-thon. Our homeroom raised $1250! That is amazing and am so proud of everyone. Their character costumes were adorable and they really enjoyed our Flashlight Friday read! We may have to try that again. Tomorrow begins our Baseball Week and Right to Read Week. I hope everyone had a chance to sign up for the Read-a-thon. Not only is this a great way to incorporate reading throughout our day but also earn money for our Innovation Center. We will drop everything and read twice a day as a whole school and in rd grade. Reregistration is currently underway for the 209-2020 school year. We will be attending an all school Rosary on Thursday afternoon at 2:45pm. Friday is the last day of the third quarter. Report cards will go home the following week.

Today begins the start of our 3rd quarter which is hard to believe! Starting this quarter, students will lose one point when their names on not on their work and homework slips will be sent home when work is not completed or forgotten at home. Please sign the slip and return the next day. We will begin our second round of MAP testing this week. Tuesday the students will take the Reading test and Friday will be the Math test. Please make sure your child gets to bed early the night before and a good breakfast in the morning. We will begin each test at 9:15am. We have an All School Mass on Thursday at 9:15am. Please note that the penmanship grade will be based on the cursive letters that the students have begun to learn.
