Moved to Term 2 Week 6

In conjunction with Social Sciences, Aotearoa NZ Histories and Mitey we all be learning the fictional and non fictional side to the land occupation of Bastion Point.

We will be doing Ahi Ka along with work from the UoA and Moe.

Week 8 until end of term 1

We are going to begin a drama about the Green Children.

"What happens to a community when outsiders are perceived as a threat because of their difference."

Week 3

This week we will kick off the term looking at a book by Anthony Browne. We will investigate how we can tackle problems as a class exploring the tension in the story 'The Zoo'

This will lead into the developing of our Class Treaty according to how we can manage isues in class by being more aware of those around us.

Mitey LO's:

1) Demonstrate feelings in a range of ways and a range of situations

2) Identify strategies to support myself and others in difficult times

3) Identify what gets in the way of maintaining and promoting mental health

4) Examine how things I value are an expression of my self-identity
