Dear 7th and 8th Grade Parents,

Greetings and welcome to another school year. After what we have experienced while living through a global pandemic I hope all of you were able to enjoy some time off this summer. I am looking forward to an awesome school year with both the 7th and 8th grade, both with virtual students and in person. But particularly the 8th grade; this is your last year of grade school, make it count!! As far as 7th grade, I cannot stress enough how important this year and next year will be for you as students and people. I will have the great pleasure of teaching the 7th grade Math and Science this year, I can't wait! stay focused and enjoy your time here the will pass more quickly than you can imagine!

About The Teacher

Mr. Christie is in his 42nd year as a teacher in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. He has completed his Masters Degree in Elementary Education at Neumann College. He is married to the lovely Dorothy Carroll and has 1 son, Samuel, who graduated from Cardinal O'Hara High School in 2007. Sam graduated from Penn State university, Main Campus with a degree in IST (Information Science and Technology) as well as minors in English and Recording Technology. Sam has recently changed careers and is now a certified Music Therapist working in Virginia at "A Place To Be". In July of 2015 Sam married his fiancé Jessica Weinerman. Jessica graduated from Medical School in August of 2017 and is currently working on starting her own online practice. Sam and Jessica welcomed their first child, Cooper, on April 8, 2018!!!! Cooper is now 3 1/2 years old! Sam and Jess welcomed their twins Quinton and Evangeline into the world on December 4, 2021.

Mr. Christie also has 2 step children, Tim McGovern who resides in Chicago and Kerry Kertis, who lives locally, as well as 3 grandchildren, Ryan (age 19) a freshman at West Chester University and Aidan (age 17), a senior at Springfield High School and Caileigh (age 15)who is a Sophomore at Springfield High School.
