Welcome to my web site.

I'm glad you're here.

Let me tell you about myself. I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science and then completed a Master of Education at Northern Arizona University. I began teaching in the Sahuarita School District in 1997. I taught Chemistry and Physics at SHS from 1997 through 2011. I moved to WGHS in 2011. At WGHS I taught all grade levels of science from Freshman Science to AP Physics and AP Environmental Science. I am excited to be at Sahuarita Digital Pathways Academy (SDPA) beginning the 2020-21 school year.

More Personal Note to Parents and Guardians

One of my favorite phrases is "Take care of yourself, take care of others." I also encourage students to be patient and kind while each of us does our best. More than phrases, both thoughts are part of my personal beliefs.

As a teacher I believe in creating opportunities for students to be successful. To this end I am asking for your help. First, create a time and space for your student to work. Second, respect your student's choice of time and space while you respectfully monitor their progress. And finally, be curious about their school work and ask them to share it without judgement. Education is an opportunity to grow oneself; I look forward to helping your student grow.
