All classes are taught by a credentialed Sage Oak teacher. "LIVE!" classes take place weekly via Zoom meetings or other live online platforms. Classes that are not labeled "LIVE!" will be conducted via email, Google Classroom, recorded video, or other communication platforms on a weekly basis.

Grade levels are suggested based on content. If your student is interested in a specific class or topic but does not fit within the suggested grade range, please feel free to sign up. Reach out to the class teacher if you have a specific question about the class or regarding content difficulty. You can submit your questions to the teacher directly using the sign-up form.
Class Description: Each week we will be doing fun interactive art projects with materials found in most homes.
Week 1: folding paper flowers

Materials Needed: Device with camera and microphone, downloaded Zoom app, paper and/or construction paper, glue, markers, coffee filter, paint, squirt gun
Platform: Live Zoom meetings on Thursdays from 11 am - 12 pm
Class Description: Enjoy a weekly art lesson complete with step-by-step video tutorial which will allow your student(s) to create their own works of art with basic art supplies! Students will then be able to "share" their masterpiece with the class in our Seesaw Virtual Classroom!
Materials Needed: Downloaded Seesaw app, white paper, colored pencils, watercolor paints, crayons, oil pastels, markers, other household coloring and art items you have on hand. Optional: Mister Seahorse or A House for Hermit Crab by Eric Carle.
Platform: New lessons will be available on Mondays at 11 am (these can be completed at student's convenience).
Class Description: Students will be introduced to a famous artist and learn about his/her background and artwork. Throughout several sessions, we will create a beautiful art piece inspired by the artist through a directed art lesson.
Materials Needed: (2) pieces 9x18 white construction paper (any size of plain white paper may be substituted), pencil, eraser, scissors, glue, Flipgrid app downloaded
Platform: Recorded video instructions will be emailed on Mondays at 10 am and email or Flipgrid correspondence will be available throughout the week if needed
Class Description: Each week we will explore a different famous artist. During the one-hour course, we will view samples of the artist's masterpieces, learn the history of each artist, and finally, we will complete a directed drawing. Each student will create their own art masterpiece by following step-by-step directions.
Materials Needed: Device with access to camera and microphone, downloaded Zoom app, paper, colored pencils, felt tip marker
Platform: Live Zoom meetings on Tuesdays from 2 pm - 3 pm
Class Description: Students will learn about lines, colors, organic shapes all while creating a piece of art each week at the end of each class each student will get a couple of minutes to hold up their work of art to show it off.
Materials Needed: Each week, students will need to have a minimum of 2 sheets of paper, pencils, colored pencils or crayons, watercolors, pastels, markers, or paint. Zoom app downloaded and a device with a camera and microphone.
Platform: Live Zoom meetings on Mondays from 9 am - 10 am
Class Description: We will explore four famous artists: Michaelangelo, Picasso, O'Keefe, and Van Gough. The students will be provided with a little information on the artists and their styles. We will then do a guided art lesson to model the artist's style. No art experience needed!
Materials Needed: Device with camera and microphone, downloaded Zoom app, basic art supplies like paper, pencils, crayons, paints, markers, construction paper. We will work with what is around your house.
Platform: Live Zoom meetings on Thursdays from 1 pm - 2 pm
Class Description: Have you ever wanted to live inside one of your favorite books? Do you enjoy performing in plays? Join us as we dive into the wonderful story of Charlotte's Web! Using scenes from the play, Charlotte's Web, we will work on a variety of acting skills including character development, stage presence, listening, and finding the humor in a scene. In this class, you'll get the opportunity to play the part of one of the characters on the farm, including Charlotte the spider, Wilbur the pig, Templeton the rat, and many more. Classes will be conducted in a virtual group setting and we will all read through the scenes live together.

Platform: Live Zoom meetings on Thursdays from 11 am - 12 pm
Class Description: This class will explore popular and low-cost apps for creating different forms of digital art including Photoshop, Procreate and ibisPaint. Each week we will compare a new digital medium and complete an optional art challenge. The last class will culminate in a showcase of individual projects completed with any program of the student's choice.
