Hello SAE Families,
Thanks for supporting our little ones this week as we celebrated "Week of the Young Child". We ended the week with the preschool picnic on a day that could not be more beautiful, and your presence was greatly appreciated. Also, we would like extend a huge appreciation to everyone who showed up to represent SAE in the Taste of Mableton parade. From my unofficial account we had over 50 students, staff, and parents who participated. We were lead by Ms. Teasley and our champion Dragon Cheerleaders, our Beta Club with Mr. Reginald Brown, teachers, students, admin/staff, and parents. Your presence at these events truly make a difference when representing our school community. I would also like to thank everyone who played a role in constructing our float. Ms. Shantile, Ms. Billings, Ms. Shannan, and Ms. Nicole Speed (8th grade parent). You all did an amazing job. If I did not recognize you for your contribution, please know you are appreciated.
As we are approaching the end of the 23-24 school year, there is an abundance of events and dates to keep up with. Please scroll down the page to view important information that will help you navigate the rest of our school year.

K-8 Students
As many of you may have seen in the news this week, Georgia just passed a School Choice Voucher program. If you receive this email, then you understand the importance of School Choice, and we couldn’t be more thrilled that this is occurring. When we started the school, being an affordable based private school was always one of our main priorities and this will assist our families even more. Starting in the 2025-2026 school year, eligible students will receive a $6,500 educational savings account that would essentially cut the tuition in half at SAE. I will be listing below what we know about the program thus far as there will be many updates prior to this being released. If you have any questions please feel free to email me and I will let you know.
-- When does this start? The 2025-2026 School Year.
-- Does SAE qualify as a school that can accept these funds? Yes. Private schools must be accredited, and we are by multiple organizations.
-- How much money is applied per child to my tuition? $6,500 per child per school year
-- Who is eligible? The student’s of parents have been a Georgia resident for at least one year and are zoned for a public school that has performed in the lowest 25% of all public schools as determined by the Office of Student Achievement. Students entering Kindergarten who live in such a school zone are exempt from the attendance requirement. All other students may be enrolled in a public school for 1 year prior to being eligible.
-- What schools are considered in the lowest 25%? We have an initial list of these schools, but these will be updated as this program gets closer to launching. However, it should be noted that there are public schools in the Mableton community that meet this threshold for eligibility. If you live outside of Mableton please feel free to reach out to me (scott.starowicz@saeschool.org) with the school that you are zoned for.
-- Who gets priority for these funds? Priority is given to those students whose parents earn 400% or less of the federal poverty level. An example of this would be a family of 4 would need to make $120,000 or less. In addition, please remember this is just a priority, it doesn’t mean that those who make over this amount are ineligible.
-- Can I combine this with my Georgia Goal or SB 10 Scholarship that I currently receive? No
For additional questions, reach to out to Scott Starowicz.
PUBLIX PARTNERS!!!
Here's an easy way to support the school. Just through your normal daily shopping at Publix, you can support SAE by associating your account with the school. To associate your account with the school you will need to establish an account. After you have established your account you will scroll to the side from the banner right under your name, click Publix Partners, and select The SAE School. Every purchase will give a little back to the school. Thank you for supporting our school.
