The supervisors (Supis) of your department are generally your first contact persons. They can help you with problems with workstations and software and give you helpful tips to improve your projects and assignments.
When they are not supporting students in the building, you will find the supervisors in the Practice Area on the 5th floor, at Supitresen.
The Head of Department (HI) of your department is mainly responsible for the organization of your course and the assessment of the assignments. He or she assigns the lecturers and organizes the supervisors.
If you have questions about exams and assignments that the supervisors cannot answer, contact your department head. They keep track of current regulations and deadlines.
The Academic Coordinator (AC) is the main academic officer at SAE Vienna. He organizes the grading conferences, the Board of Studies and confirms the grades you get from your HIs. The AC deals with academic complaints and misdemeanors and coordinates the cooperation with Middlesex University.
Furthermore, the AC (together with the Degree Coordinators) is responsible for the general modules in Bachelor and Master courses.
In addition to the permanent staff at the SAE Institute, you will also meet some external lecturers from industry who often teach more specialized subjects. If you want to ask the external lecturers something, take the opportunity to do so when they are at SAE Institute, as they may otherwise be difficult to reach.
Lecturers are experts in their field, but they do not always have an exact overview of exams and assessment criteria. If you have questions about this, please contact your HI directly.
The principal is responsible for the smooth running of the campus and represents SAE to the outside world.
The principal's office is located on the 5th floor.
Your Department Head, Academic Coordinator, Head of School and the other SAE staff will be in regular contact with you via email. It is therefore very important that we have your current email address and that you check and read your email regularly.
If your phone number or e-mail address or name has changed, please let us know as soon as possible. Since we need to contact you regularly, we need your current contact information.
SAE Institute is not responsible for missed information that could not be forwarded to you due to outdated contact information.
If your parents or other accompanying persons wish to speak with the Department Head or Academic Coordinator, they must make an appointment in advance. Please note that appointments at short notice may not be possible, as the department heads / academic coordinators are often in class. Important appointments should therefore be made well in advance.
You must also be present at such a meeting, as SAE is not allowed to give out information about grades, attendance and study progress to third parties. Alternatively, you can, for example, give your parents power of attorney to view your studies.
