Spanish

Sister Georgiana has been assigned here at Sacred Heart School three different times, teaching: Grades 5 & 6, Grade 2, and presently Spanish and coordinating the First in Math on-line program. She is thrilled to be part of the vibrant Sacred Heart School and parish. "It is so rewarding and a great joy to watch students gain confidence and relax as they learn new and exciting concepts," she states.

Sister's other assignments included sixteen years in Peru, South America as a teacher and principal in two schools and a short time teaching in Philadelphia. However, most of her time has been spent teaching in the Harrisburg Diocese: Camp Hill, York, Harrisburg, and Lancaster.

Daily, Sister Georgiana tries to live joyfully and share the message with those she meets. "God's love is amazing. Miracles do happen .. if you just open your eyes and believe!"

Mrs. Gómez is originally from Perú, South America where she went to Catholic School throughout her life. She is an advocate of religious based education because she believes, it helps to shape all important aspects of children, so they can become better citizens of our society.

Mrs. Gómez earned her B.S. in Spanish Education from Millersville University in 2012. She worked as a substitute teacher in many schools in the Harrisburg Area. Then, she paused her teaching career to take care of her new born; and now, she feels very blessed to be here at Sacred Heart School as a part-time Spanish teacher. She has always loved working with children and knows what an amazing journey it is to be part of shaping their world. Mrs. Gómez’s objective is to inspire children with love for learning and to make children realize that every day is a blessing from our Lord.
