“Since 2004, the Sacred Heart School community has always supported my husband’s and my efforts in helping to develop our children into the best version of themselves. What a beautiful opportunity I have now been given to continue extending such dignity to others and to formally live out the spirit of SHS - to put others before oneself with kindness and compassion.”
After living in three different states and attending five elementary schools and two different high schools, Mrs. Bertz graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School in 1987. With a partial scholarship and majoring in both Elementary and Early Childhood Education, she graduated from Millersville University four years later. Mrs. Bertz taught 6th grade at Resurrection Catholic School until she and her husband, Steve, began their family in 1995. It has been an incredible journey for both of them raising three daughters and two sons! Over the years, Mrs. Bertz has volunteered in various capacities in her children’s schools and has assisted young families as a certified birth and postpartum doula. She truly enjoys taking time to appreciate God’s creation when camping or vacationing in Stone Harbor, NJ. Mrs. Bertz also enjoys participating in group exercise classes at the Y, gluten free cooking & baking and reading a good book. As the Physical Education and Health teacher for Sacred Heart School, Mrs. Bertz is eager to help students develop the best within themselves while giving them the opportunities to do so in a supportive environment!
