ERASMUS + ARCHITECTURE IN FILMS AND GAMES

Since  september 2020, IES Bachiller Sabuco, Albacete together with  other Secondary Schools have been  working on the  ERASMUS Project Architecture: a Journey  through Time and Space. The participant schools are the following:

Liceo Scientifico Galilei, Naples, (Italy), Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace Im. St. Dubois, Koszalin (Poland), Srednja Skola Isidora Krsnjavoga, Našice (Croatia), Agrupamento D Escolas Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro, Caldas Da Rainha (Portugal) and Liceul Tehnologic Sfantul Pantelimon, Bucharest (Romania). We have dealt with many aspects related to Architecture and we have  also met  in the three mobilities which took place in March 2022 (in Portugal), April 2022 in Poland and in November 2022 in Italy. Before the mobilities, we had met online and agreed on the specific aspects to be seen as well as the steps to be followed in order to conclude the Project. As far as Naples is concerned, we tell you about our experience there  from last 6 to 12th November 2022.

SUNDAY 6th: We arrived in Italy and our hosts welcomed us, we ate at the houses and in the afternoon we went for a walk around the area with everyone from the exchange.

MONDAY 7th: We woke up and went to school, we made our presentations on architecture in movies and in games and then we went to Villa Floridiana where we could have a marvellous view of the city of Naples and its enormous Bay. Afterwards, we visited the Royal Palace which was one of the four residences used by the House of Bourbon during their rule of the Kingdom of Naples (1735-1816) and later the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies (1816-1861).

TUESDAY 8th: We went to an official reception for Erasmus projects where Erasmus students talked about their experiences. In the afternoon we visited the historic center of Naples. A very curious place was Via San Gregorio Armeno where we could find  the famous cribs made in Naples which most of us include in our Christmas decorations.

WEDNESDAY 9th:We woke up very early because that day we were visiting Pompeii!!! We went by bus(that took a very long time for us) and there were  two guides waiting for us who  explained the archeological site. At the beginning it was fun because there were a lot of new things that we had never seen but after a while we were very hot because of the weather, but in conclusion, we loved it. It was incredible to see how a Roman city looked like.

THURSDAY 10th: We continued with our presentations and conclusions of the project. In the afternoon we went to the MANN ( Archeological Museum) where we  did a Treasure Hunt.

FRIDAY 11th: We had our final meeting and we were given our certificates of attendance. At  night we all went together to a restaurant to have dinner and after that, we went dancing. We had such a great time together and we learned a lot from a city which was part of our history. We also said goodbye because we may not see each other again, but who knows…

SATURDAY 12th: We met all together at the airport to take our flight home.

The conclusion is that this type of trips are really enrichising because you know people from other countries, you know what people normally do in the country you are visiting, you improve your English and of course you have wonderful time. We recomend  this experience by all means
