Jean Pico is currently an Electronics Engineering student in last semester at Universidad Industrial de Santander (Colombia). He has done several courses of Digital Image Processing at UIS. He has solid knowledge about convolution, image filtering, frequency filtering, segmentation by clustering, Hough transform, Fourier transform and signal processing. His research work at Motion Analysis and Computer Vision (MACV) is focused in Biomedical Imaging and Image processing
This work proposes a spatio-temporal descriptor that allows non-parametric characterization of cardiac structures using Dense Hough transform. This involves the evaluation at multiple scales of the CMR sequences, as well as the analysis of motion primitives that can be coded with the Dense Hough descriptor. From this characterization, it will be possible to perform tracking and identification of spatio-temporal cardiac patterns that can be used in classification tasks.
