Dynamical systems in 1 dimension. Direction fields and solutions of differential equations. Autonomous equations, phase space representation of trajectories. Stabillty of fixed points.
Second Lecture
Dynamical systems in the plane. Phase space, trajectories.
Third Lecture
Linear equations (In the plane). Eigenvalues and corresponding solutions. Stability of fixed points. Periodic solutions.
Fourth Lecture
Nonlinear systems in the plane; local behavior around fixed points.
Fifth Lecture
Global behavior, types of solutions. Lyapunov curves. The Poincare - Bendixon Theorem.
Sixth Lecture
Applications.
