Community-based program where people are invited to take part in a communitarian farm.
Crop-a-thon is a community-based program where people are invited to take part in a communitarian farm.
Participants are given all of the tools they need to grow in-season crops and learn more about their harvests.
By learning from experienced farmers who will be guiding them throughout the initiative.
The project offers a unique experience for students who have just moved out from their parents’ house and are looking to discover new recipes and learn how to cook. We will try our best to include as much Indigenous-related recipes and background information as possible to acknowledge the land that the community farm is built on, and it will also provide a thorough learning experience for our farmers to feel more connected with their community.
Witnessing a seed that you planted to grow is a fulfilling, wholesome experience and we hope that people not only get educated about farming, but also about the community they live in.
