Prof. Vasanth C. Bhagawat is an accomplished academic and professional with 22 years of experience in academia, specializing in advanced computational techniques and artificial intelligence. Currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of MCA at R V Institute of Technology and Management, he has also held faculty positions at Atria Institute of Technology, AMC Engineering College and T. John College in Bengaluru. His expertise extends beyond the classroom, with prior experience as a Technical Head for Professional Computers and as the Head of the Department of Computer Science at Vijayanagar College.

He is a dedicated scholar, currently pursuing a

Ph.D. at Presidency University, Bengaluru, with a specialization in Deep Learning. He successfully completed his Comprehensive Viva Examination in February 2025.

V.C. Bhagawat is actively involved in academic and administrative leadership roles. He served as Chairperson for the Program Assessment and Quality Improvement Committee (PAQIC) and serves as a Coordinator for NAAC and AICTE at the departmental level. Best Teacher Award from the Atria Institute of Technology for the 2021-2022 academic year. His contributions to the field are further evidenced by several publications and paper presentations on topics such as skin cancer diagnosis using machine learning, motion classification using CNN and LSTM, and a review of predictive modeling for healthcare.
