Software defined networks

Class Overview

Software Defined Network (SDN) is a new paradigm in Computer Networks that enables the network components to be programmed. Similar to the operating system, SDN provides an interface through which network applications are compiled and transferred into necessary configurations for network elelements.

About me

Myself, Dr. Ashok Kumar A R is Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering department of RVCE Bangalore. I obtained My M Tech from NITK Suratkal and my Ph.D. from IIT Guwahati.

My area of Interest are - Computer Networks, Distributed Systems, and Data Center Networks.

The courses I taught for UG and PG include - Operating System, Computer Networks, Machine Learning, Discrete Mathematical Structure, Finite Automata, Distributed Systems, and Cyber Security.

Presently I am handling Software Defined Networks (SDN) for the seventh semester UG.
