Substitute Teachers

The Substitute Teacher’s Group works toward meeting the needs of substitute teachers in Rocky View School Division.  Things we work toward are providing support for substitute teachers and having a communication network for substitute teachers through which they can bring any concerns they have.  We also collaborate with the Local to ensure substitute teacher concerns are being met in regards to our contract and working conditions and work to ensure the school division is made aware of issues substitute teachers have regarding working conditions. in hopes that any issues are dealt with in a timely manner. Lastly, we provide a professional development session during the year, usually in the spring.

In order to be in this group you have to email your non-Rocky View email address to the email below. We welcome all Rocky View School Division substitutes. If you would like to be part of the executive please contact the sub-chair.

• September 28th: (in person) 4:30pm @ Winston Club

• October 26th: (general meeting in person) 4:30pm @ Winston Club

• December 14th: (zoom meeting) 4:30pm

• January 25th: (zoom meeting) 4:30pm

• February 29th: (zoom meeting) 4:30pm

• March 11th: PD for all substitutes at Ed Centre 8:30am-1:00pm

• April 11th: (in person) 4:30pm @ Winston Club OR 10th (in person) 6:30pm @ Winston Club

• May 23rd: (in person AGM) 4:30pm @ Winston Club
